The military pay charts have been updated with the 3.1% increase for 2020. The increased pay is effective starting from January 1st to the end of the year.
The 2021 military pay grade increase, on the other hand, is expected to be 1%. The 1% is assumed to be the proposed increase because generally, all government workers get the same increase in their pay.
Below, you can see the 2020 military pay chart for all ranks starting from Private to General. Keep in mind that this is the base pay rate. So if you’re going on deployment or will be receiving financial awards or bonuses, your pay is going to be more than what’s shown below during the course of the year—at least for certain months.
As soon as the next year’s military pay increase is officially announced, we will keep you updated with the proposed 2021 military pay chart. In the meantime, these are the effective figures.
